For many of us, we grew up suppressing our feelings which created beliefs of inadequacy, low confidence, poor self-esteem and even persistent anxiety, stress and depression. We may have believed that what we had to say wasn’t important, that our feelings didn’t matter or that we were innately bad causing us to deny our authentic self and instead put on a  'front' to please others or 'get it right'.
